areas of design and construction.
EDR Building Designs is
also an innovative establishment continuously proposing
superior, easier, more efficient ways of achieving
similar outcomes. In an age of computers and internet
these alternate methods achieve more accurate results,
much quicker outcomes, less mistakes and more importantly
less cost.
Following are some the examples we
have propositioned and included in our extensive list
of services thus far. Our latest addition is an online
drafting and design service whereby our client, who
can be around the corner, interstate or even international,
send us all the relevant details of what they would
like. EDR Building Designs
then proceed to draft up or design some sketches based
on the information collated and the research completed,
sending it back to the client, ready for the relevant
authority to stamp the plans ready for construction.
This eliminates the need for on-going meetings, particularly
suited to clients who already have a design accomplished
for a specific allotment who simply necessitate drafting
and engineering completed for building approval. Obviously
due to the lack of meetings, prints and travel, drafting
costs can be severely reduced whilst maintaining an
unbelievable turn around time.
Our other initiative is our prefabricated steel walls
and trusses, while this is certainly not a new idea;
the cutting edge technology in our machinery certainly
is way beyond anything out on the market today. The
roll forming machines are completely computerized
which eliminates mistakes, man labour and reduces
time greatly. The walls and trusses are completely
made in our factory and then transported on site.
The walls then need only to be stood and tied down
(for our cyclonic conditions). There are then a number
of claddings which can be used to complete a very
aesthetically pleasing, energy efficient and cost
effective structure. Many myths from builders and
tradesmen alike along the lines of how hard the steel
wall frames and trusses are to work with are completely
false as today’s fasteners have kept up with
the new materials.
